It's about all I have to say....

Fiddler on the Roof is a very funny, clean and a great family movie! I really enjoyed it when I watched it with my family. They use the word "tradition" in the movie a lot of times! The movie is about tradition. The father would go and talk to another father about seeing if his son or daughter would like to get married. Although, the oldest girl (one of the main actors) doest want to mary the butcher. Why? The butcher is got a long white beard and he's balled. But it's tradition! Says, the father.

Have a fun weekend,

GO GET THE OIL!

It was 61 years ago this year that the first commercial offshore oil well was drilled.
Did you know this? In October 1947, a huge mobile rig, drilled in 14-foot-deep water. The drill drilled of the coast of Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico. In early days, oil was a whole lot easier to find and recover. Today, oil fields on land and in shallow water it's harder to pump and find oil. Companies must work harder to get the oil out of the ground. Now Scientists use very expensive technology to locate oil! Today's drilling is expensive too. The cost of a typical "deep" water drilling rig is more than a MILLION dollars per day!!! Satellites maps and scan for clues that may locate oil. They relay signals from search planes and ships.

By Sarah Mally

Sorry this picture is twisted side ways. A few friends and I have been doing a little bible study together. We have been talking about, Before you meet Prince Charming, by Sarah Mally.

Before I go on telling you about this book. I would like to say..... If you are a type of person that does not like your parents to know what's going on in your life then I would quit reading this post. This book is about letting your parents "Help You" make a right choice while you are in your  teen years. So here we go!

Once a month my mom and I go over to a friend's house and have a Bible study, with some other young ladies and their mothers. This month we talked about the Dangers with the Dating system. How the dating system can hurt and how the courtship system can be a joy.
The American System, (example)
You and a friend are going to a friend's birthday party. You walk into the door and there looking straight at you is the most cutest guy in the world! He comes over and introduces himself and says, "hi, my name is Sam." What's your name? You introduce yourself by saying, "my name is Jennifer Jane." The rest of the entire night you and Sam are doing everything together. Playing games, eating at the same table with each other ect... It's time to home now and the party is over. You, tell Sam, "oh that was so much fun getting to hang out with you. I WISH I could see you more often and talk to you. Sam says, well I have an email address would you like to have it?    Jennifer Jane, ''oh yes, I would love to have your email address!!!"  Here's the catch. Jennifer Jane KNEW she was not allowed to email boys. "Oh well my parents will never know what I am doing, or so she thought." That is just a little example of what starts a date. If you have ever dated before, you will know probably know what comes next! I will update on this later.

About the courtship I will try to talk about that later.

In Christ,
